How to choose a refrigerator

Refrigerated cabinets (ХШ) are usually used for cooling and selling soft drinks, energy drinks, beer, cider.

When choosing a refrigerated cabinet, first of all, you need to decide on its type.
Refrigerated cabinets are divided into two main groups: one-door and two-door refrigerators.
For placement in a small area, a single-door refrigerator is ideal.
If space permits, a two-door refrigerator has the ability to cool more drinks and allows you to place a larger range of products , respectively - big sales.
Among two-door refrigerated cabinets, it is better to choose a cabinet with doors of the "compartment" type, this type is more convenient for customers to use and optimal in a narrow range.

Pay also attention for refrigerator lighting. Refrigerated cabinets have interior lighting and usually canapés. Canape is a light box that is placed above the door of the refrigerator and works as an advertising element to attract the attention of customers. Canape is actively used by beverage manufacturers to distinguish their refrigerator cabinet from other manufacturers.



To use your own xsh outlet, the refrigerator canape is optional.

Illumination of the interior space is better to choose vertical (vertical lamp over the entire height). A vertically positioned lamp in the refrigerator cabin makes it possible to illuminate and present products on all shelves. Choosing XSh with upper horizontal illumination - sales of products from the lower shelves will be unsatisfactory. Also, it is desirable to use LED lighting as more economical and durable.

When choosing XS, pay attention to the allowable load on the shelf. It should be, for example, in a single-door version, at least 70 kg. on the shelf, because the average actual load, for example, beer bottles with the product, on the shelf of single-door XW is at least 50-70 kg. On average, it should not be more than 15 mm. This indicator may affect the actual possibility of placing a full-fledged shelf with products.

Given that the weight of the load of products in single-door refrigerated cabinets can reach up to 400-500 kg. it is worth paying attention to the material of the inner wall of the XSh and the wall thickness. The optimal wall thickness of the XSh to maintain the correct geometry of the XSh and minimal cold losses is at least 60 mm. At the same time, XSh with a metal inner frame will be reliable in use. Given the load on the XS from 400 to 500 kg. (for a single-door cabinet) and up to 750-800 kg. (for a two-door cabinet), metal frame and wall thickness of 60 mm. give increased rigidity of the refrigerated cabinet and elimination of distortions in the XSh geometry.

When choosing doors, pay attention to the presence of a door closer in both single-door and two-door XSh, as well as in coupe versions. The presence of a door closer will exclude accidental breakage of the door glass during sudden opening.

If we are talking about the aggregate part, then the built-in unit is used in XSh. impurities of dry pure propane - R-290, which is completely safe for the ozone layer and efficient in the use of electricity. capacitor. The condenser on the rear wall (following the example of household refrigerators) is cooled by natural air circulation. Refrigerating cabinets are also divided into groups depending on the category of goods they contain:

1. Refrigerators for beer.
The ideal beer cooler is a one-door refrigerator or a two-door refrigerator with a metal inner case for greater resistance to scuffs, scratches from contact with glass bottles. The metal internal case of a refrigerator additionally creates the increased rigidity of a design. Considering that a significant amount of product in the refrigerator is contained in a glass bottle, glass adds weight to each unit of product. Accordingly, refrigerated cabinets for beer should have increased body rigidity and a metal inner frame. Also, in the hot season, it is desirable to have a large assortment in a sufficient number of chilled product units in different packaging designs (glass, PET, cans). These features make it necessary to have large and deep refrigerated cabinets with a number of shelves from 5 to 7 pieces. You should also pay attention to the faceting in the refrigerator. The main sales come from the 2nd and 3rd shelves. These shelves are at eye level. Beer producers consider them the most expensive and highest selling places. Accordingly, these shelves are stocked with a new or higher-margin product, in the sale of which the beer producer or distributor is most interested. Cheaper and mass products are placed on the 1st and 2nd shelves from the bottom of the refrigerator. These are usually PET bottles of 1.5 or 2 liters. The topmost shelf is used to sell beer in a can. This packaging is considered less popular in Ukraine than a glass bottle, and it also takes up less space in height. Recently, the market has been moving towards the use of single door refrigerators with a wide display at key points. The number of standard beer bottles in a row is usually not less than 8-10 pieces. This allows you to place 3-4 SKUs (goods accounting units) on one shelf. For outlets with a large flow of customers (large supermarkets, hypermarkets), it is better to use a two-door refrigerator. Given the high demand during the hot season and the need to cool large volumes of products in a beer refrigerator, it is better to use a dynamic condenser cooling system, a powerful fan for blowing the inner chamber and a cabinet wall thickness of at least 60 mm with thermal insulation PPU. 
Considering everything the above factors, we can conclude regarding the optimal model of a beer refrigerator.
The optimal beer refrigerator is a single-door refrigerator or a two-door refrigerator with a high layout (at least 5 shelves, the height of such a cabinet should be at least 2000- 2100 mm.),  this is a refrigerated cabinet with a display width of at least 8 standard glass bottles (in a two-door version - at least 15-16 positions), a mandatory inner cabinet made of metal, a dynamic condenser and a powerful fan of the inner chamber, a display depth of at least 8 standard glass bottles.
It is important to remember: when you take measurements and compare the capacity of bottles in a refrigerator, consider the fact that a beer bottle is 0.5 l. and a plastic bottle of 0.5 liters. have a fairly large difference in width. Many manufacturers may abuse such measurements by issuing a 0.5 liter plastic bottle. for a 0.5 liter glass beer bottle. and thereby declaring a larger capacity.

2. Refrigerated cabinets for juice and refrigerated cabinets for soft drinks.
When selling juices and non-alcoholic products in refrigerated cabinets, the main emphasis is on the availability of chilled products at the point of sale. Given that not all non-alcoholic products the buyer prefers to use chilled, the presence of a refrigerator for such products is an advantage that makes itself felt in the hot season. The fact is that the growth in sales of juice, non-carbonated or carbonated drinks during a hot period may not directly depend on the cooling of these products. If the consumption of non-chilled beer in summer tends to zero, then this product is not so acutely felt. Therefore, the higher, special requirements for beer refrigerators and soft drinks and water refrigerators are significantly different. Usually, for the sale of juice and non-alcoholic products, refrigerated cabinets with smaller dimensions in height and width are used. There is no need for large stocks of chilled products. For such products, refrigerated cabinets with a more cheap design of the inner cabinet are used, usually it is made of plastic. The capacitor may be static, given the number of door openings/closings. The fan of the inner chamber can be of lower power and is made in the form of a squirrel wheel. There are no strict requirements for the wall thickness of the refrigerator cabinet. The height of such a cabinet can be 1800-2000 mm. To place energy drinks in retail chains, it is advisable to use narrow refrigerated cabinets - columns up to 500-600 mm wide. with the possibility of placing both in the checkout area and in rows with other products.
